Invitation
Get construction paper in different colors (M&M colors) and use a compass to make the invitations. You will need 2 circles each for one invite. Punch a hole on the outer edge and tie w/ribbon. On the outside, write the words "M&M" and on the inside, draw lines to put the pertinent info.
Decorations
If possible, find balloons in the same primary colors as the M&Ms come in, with matching ribbons. Rent a helium tank and hang more M&Ms (out of construction paper, same size as the invites) from the string. Fill the room w/TONS of them!! It looks really colorful and if you use enough of them, you won't need anything else. Leave out different sized glass candy dishes filled w/M&Ms. Small custard cups work as well as small vases and dishes.
Food
You can have a large cake for everyone and cupcakes for the kids. Make cupcakes w/chocolate frosting topped w/M&Ms or use white icing and write M&M on top of each cupcake. Top each one w/a candle so ALL the kids get to blow out a candle and won't hog the birthday kids candle!
Games
Fill a jar w/M&Ms and have people guess how many are in there.
Pin the "M" on the M&M. Make a large M&M out of cardboard and a letter M.
Have the kids take turns pinning the M.
Hide plastic eggs filled w/M&Ms and have the kids hunt for them.
Activities
Party Favors
A clear plastic party bag filled w/M&Ms and tied w/colorful ribbon. Stickers, small toys (make sure they are age appropriate). Small bag of cheerios for the little ones.
