Identify the "poop" in the diapers
Supplies:
5 or 6 disposable diapers
5 or 6 different kinds of food, baby food, chocolate
bars, anything with a "smell". For example, use a tootsie roll, warmed up in the microwave so it is spread able, carrots, applesauce, etc...
spoons, to spread with
marker
paper and pencils for the guests
How to play:
Number each diaper, 1 to 5 or 6. Open up the diapers and spread one of each of the foods into the diapers so you have at least 5 different diapers, each with a different kind of food. After you've put the food in, be sure to write down what is in each diaper, so you don't forget!
Bring diapers out to guests and have them smell each one and write down their guesses. We gave our guests about 5 minutes or so.
It was really fun to see them smelling the "poopy diapers"! The pictures are great!

More Dirty Diaper Variations:
Purchase oversized paper napkins for each guest. Fold them diagonally and place a few chocolates in each napkin. Fold the corners up and tie with a pretty bow.
Microwave just one of the packages for a minute to melt the chocolate. Add all the "diaper" napkins to a basket for the guests to pick from. One lucky guest will get the "messy" one

Make up little "diapers" with pieces of tissue and a safety pin. Put a raisin in one of the "diapers". Give one to each guest and the one with the "poopy diaper" gets a prize.

Maternity Memory Shirt
Supplies:
Maternity shirt
safety pins
small baby items
How to Play:
For my baby shower, my sister collected little baby items (like pacifiers, disposable bibs, rattles, etc.) and pinned them all onto a maternity shirt. I wore the shirt for a few minutes, and walked around the room so all the guests could see what was pinned to the shirt. Then, after I left the room, the guests had to try to remember as many items as they could. The person
who remembered the most items won a prize!
I think this was a cute game, and I got a lot of small gifts that you always need with a new baby. Also, I got a new maternity shirt to wear!

The Ambidextrious Mom
Supplies:
Hanger
Several clothes pins
As most of us know, mothers must be very ambidextrious with one hand. Take a hanger and put clothes pins on it. The object of the game is for a guest to get as many clothes pins in her one hand that she is using to take the clothes pins off the hanger. She cannot use her other hand or lap to help her arrange the clothes pins in that hand to make more room. The person who can get the most clothes pins off the hanger without dropping any, wins!

Baby T-shirt Decorating
Supplies:
Several Packages of Onesies (one or two for each guest)
Fabric Paint in assorted colors
cardboard
Useful Party Activity Rather Than Silly Games: Instead of silly, mindless games at a baby shower, have a fun activity that will provide the mom-to-be with a supply of very useful items: onesies (the full-body T-shirts that have the snap crotch). Buy several packages of onesies in different sizes, enough for one or two shirts per guest, and a variety of tubes of fabric paint. Have a table set up with the shirts and paints and ask each guest to "paint" a shirt for the new baby. Once all the shirts are done, let the new mom-to-be pick her favorite and give a bottle of champagne or other prize to the selected artist. It may take some coaxing to get your guests started, but I guarantee everyone will have a blast once they get started. (Note: slip cardboard inside each shirt to prevent paint from bleeding through to reverse side. Also, fabric paint takes 24 hours to set, so plan a space to leave the shirts once they are done and do not let them touch or fold or the masterpieces will be ruined!).

Name that Powder
Take five powders (powdered sugar, baby powder, baking soda, flour, and corn starch), placed them in tiny Ziploc bags and numbered each bag with a marker. I then typed up about four sheets of paper with the names of each powder (without the numbers) and distributed them throughtout the room, asking each guest to guess which powder was which without opening, puncturing, or smelling the bags. It's not as easy as it may seem.
