When I was a child in the 70's I waited every afternoon for 3:00 p.m. to roll around for the afternoon cartoons and if I was lucky I was able to catch an episode of Casper the Friendly Ghost. On June 26th, two new DVDs, Best of Casper Volume 1 and Best of Casper Volume 2, are being released. The digitally re-mastered cartoons each feature 10 cartoons and 2 bonus cartoons.
Although many of the story lines are repetitive, which revolve around Casper wishing to have a friend to play with, I found it to be refreshing unlike many of today's cartoons of sarcasm and insults. There was always a happy ending and these DVD's brought back memories of a simpler time. The nostalgia factor of these two DVDs make them worthwhile to watch and for that you won't be disappointed.
