My daughter has requested a Lightning McQueen Birthday party for her 4th Birthday on March 27th. So here is what I have in mind for planning

SOlid Red and SOlid Black Plates and Napkins

l. McQueen Cake.....I purchased a Wilton's Lightning McQueen pan and the color paste for the buttercream frosting... I adore making these cakes. So neat, Wil share the photo after I get it finished.

Checkerboard Vanilla and Choc Ice Cream from Bryers (to resemble the checker flag)

And of course, she wants to Watch Cars while having her party.

and eat cheetos. LOL

So just a small party, My mom and dad, my sister and her 3 kids, and us 4. That's it.

We havent gotten int o party games as when the kids are together, all heck breaks loose. They run, play, scream, and just cant seem to sit still long enuff to focus.

I am making her a Lightning McQueen Dress as her gift from us. And then we are taking her to the movies on her birthday that Friday. Or I may just purchase tickets and we go during the week, during shcool hours, that way, less folks to deal with.

Any other suggestions for a Cars Party?

Jennifer - Everything you have already planned sounds great. I'm not sure what else you can incorporate into the party.

You can probably find some coloring pages for free online and print them out for the kids to do if they are all on the younger side.

HEY LEAH. ... Ive missed ya girlie girl.

Thanks for the reply. I never thought about the coloring pages thingy.
I think I might look for some, print them out, like 3 pages, and make a mini coloring book to take as a party favor. There will just be 5 kids there, my 2 girls, my neice and my 2 nephews (one is only 5 mos old). So my hubby told me, "wait until they start to school and there are kids from their classroom that can come to the party and be enough kids there to play games".... so I think I will just wait.

How are you Leah?

I hope that I post this correctly
here is a photo of Ella's birthday cake I did. I picked up the Lightning McQueen Wilton's cake pan and the icing paste colors and after about 2 hours, we had a Lightning McQueen cake.

I put her Birthday #4 on the cake instead of McQueen's 95.

When I was making it, at 6am, she was watching me decorate the cake and when I was finished she said "Mommy, that doesnt look like My lightning car (she was holding one of her many Lightning car/toys) and proceeded to say "lets eat this one, and you can make another one for my party" LOL

But she loved it and was happy and didnt want to cut him to eat him. She wanted to keep him in the cake box and said that we can just look at him. hahahhaha
So here's the photo. I hope it posts correctly.
