Ok I am not into slamming people. But Tom Cruise has gone too far and he just keeps doing it!!!!

I just read that he has changed Katie's name. He said (as quoted in US mag) that Katie is a "young girl's name" and that she is now "a child bearing woman". "her name is Kate now" he said. Now it is one thing for him to refer to her as Kate, but to tell the world that she is no longer Katie is just rude to Katie and her family.

I wonder what repected journalist Katie Couric thinks of the fact that he just insulted her name.

But that is what he does lately - INSULT people. he is alienating the whole world - well at least the women! His publicist should wire his jaw shut!

(OK - don't cults change people's names???)

And maybe if he didn't go get a girl pregnant that was half his age he wouldn't be so worried that her name sounded young.

All I know is when Katie finally escapes this freak she is going to have quite a best selling tell all book.

I can't even imagine how upset her parents must be!! Shocked

I am so sorry to rant - but this man makes me really angry.

What do you all think? Do you think him insisting that her name is no longer acceptable is just gettin too ridiculous?!?!

I will NOT be seeing his movie. I can not stomach the site of him.

Will you see his movies? Are you upset by his comments?

I hadn't heard that's pretty ridiculous for him to say that though if in fact he did. Was it a tabloid or a legitimate source, it just sounds so controlling of hm to say that.

I thought he would be smarter than that, but he's said/done some other stupid things in the past too.

Like you said it's one thing for him to want to call her that, but he shouldn't be the one making the call, if it's anyone it should be her choice what she wants to be called.

About the movies, I've only seen Jerry Mc Guire and Interveiw with the Vampire.

It was in US magazine. If they misquoted- then I apologize. But after the things he has said in thepast year - i can picture him saying it.

sorry for the emotional rant - he just blows my mind lately. I try to not rant about celebrities, but he just keeps getting in our faces with his opinions. (Being a mom who has post partum depression - his comments about meds and Brooke Shields are just so insulting.)

I've never been "fond" of him like a lot of women have...(I prefer to drool over men of at least 5 feet 10 inches in height...lol)... but when I heard the argument he had with Matt Lauer...Mr Cruise became even more unattractive....and the more he opened his mouth....the less attractive he became....now the man is virtually invisible. And when I refer to looks here....I mean the whole package....from my perspective of course...I obviously only know what I read/see...but I'm generally open-minded.
Unlike "Kate's" controlling husband.

It's sad for her... I almost hope hope she's falling for it... at least then she wouldn't feel trapped...

I saw a poll that his popularity has gone WAY, WAY down. Which left me suprised to see that his recent MI release did well?? Hmmmm...

Yes - I suppose the film did well because the MI franchise is so established and men don't care about him being odd, they just care if the movie is cool.

It is amazing that Nicole Kidman was married to him for so long. Did you know her father is a psychiastrist?!?! Too ironic. I wouldn't want to have been sitting around that dinner table on the holidays.

Yes - I hope Katie is happy. Oops "Kate".
