Guest List Problem

I have a small group of friends who have kids. We usually invite each other to the kids parties. My son however is saying he doesn't want one of the girls to come to the party. Should I make him invite her? I feel like I should because we go to her parties and I like the mom. I think it would be rude to leave that family out. My son keeps saying, "but it's my party I should be able to invite who I want".

I would start with talking to him about it. Do you know why he does not want to invite her? Has something happened? Maybe there is something between the two of them that can be worked out before the party.

Ask him what the problem is with her coming to his party. I would invite her. I dont think it would be nice to leave her out and it could cause some problems.

Well, I found out the reason he doesn't want to invite her is because she's a girl Rolling Eyes

although he does want to invite one girl from his class.

Also he mentioned that this other girl the last time we went to her party she stayed in the house the whole time playing with her friends and he was outside on the jumper so he said "She never plays with me anyway". I finally convinced him to let me invite her though and another girl he was trying to leave out.

Before he agreed he kept going through the invites and saying "I better not see an invite for the girls in here". Confused

awwwww. kids are funny. But at least it wasnt a bad reason for him not wanting her to come. I hope he has a good time anyways.
