My daughter Ella wanted a Nightmare before Christmas party. (we have the movie and the dolls.....they were passed on to us from my MIL who kept them from my BIL that passed away years ago) anyways, now emily is thinking if we do a Nightmare before Christmas party, it would be like having a halloween party 3 weeks before halloween and that we can dress up like for halloween. smart girl she is.

this wo uld actually be an easy party to do. could just do a round cake white with the black decoration in the face of Jack Scarington or could just do a pumpkin cake hehehe.....

but i am wondering, do you think that 3 weeks before halloween is okay to do a "halloween" themed party for a birthday?

I think anytime in October is good to do a Halloween party.

I found this cupcake idea, but you can decorate it the same way for a birthday cake:

A neat idea to make cheap decoration props is to draw the character images onto foam core and then paint them and cut them out.

We had a wall projector (the kind you put an image under and it projects onto a wall) we did it for Thomas and friends and they came out really cute. I don't know if they would've came out as nice if I painted them though instead of my husband. I'll try to find pic's if I can and post them somewhere.
