On another board I belong to there's a big discussion going on about meeting your idols.

Have you ever met one of your idol's and been disappointed?

Do you think it's okay to go up to them in public or in what instances do you think it's okay.

When is it crossing the line?

What about when the person ignores the fans, do you think it's rude or do you think it's perfectly acceptable to ignore them because they might not want be bothered at that moment, in a hurry, or don't want to cause a scene?

We never get anyone here in Oklahoma. Oh,wait Matt Damon and Pres. Bush has been here. I did go to a Monkees reunion concert. They looked really old. I think if I saw a celebrity I would not approach them unless they looked like they wanted to be approached (and it was someone I like unlike Paris Hilton or something...). I don't think people should bug them when they are eating, pottying, with family, on the cell phone. I think it is okay if they want to ignore fans...but really if I was famous I could never ignore a child fan, you know?
